for large scale treatment of indoor and outdoor environments with a dense ultra fine fog using thermopneumatic energy.

he Airofog thermal fogger range uses the pulse jet principle of igniting fuel through a tuned resonator tube that allows for continuous engine operation without any moving parts where the exhaust gasses are mixed with a diluent containing the fogging material to create a dense fog of finely atomized particles typically in the range 3-10um in size with oil based diluents for fogging of insecticides against flying insects, stored product pests, insect larvae in water surfaces and also application of biocides and disinfectants in both outdoor and indoor environments. The Airofog thermal foggers are constructed from high grade stainless steel materials including carrying frame, fog tube and cooling jacket, air pump, solution and fuel tanks. The precision cast aluminum carburetor incorporates a large air intake diaphragm and fuel/ air mixing screw and fuel injection needle. The resonator tube is manufactured from DIN certified high temperature stainless steel and capable of withstanding operating temperatures up to 1500° Celsius. The Airofog AR35E and AR9E thermal foggers are fitted with an emergency cut off valve to automatically prevent flow of fog material should the engine stop running and subsequent risk of fire. The Airofog thermal fogger design ensures the exit temperature at the point of injection to only 40-60° Celsius with an exposure interval of under 5 milliseconds to ensure even heat sensitive materials such as biological products like Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (Bti) or sphericus (Bts) can be applied.

The Airofog thermal fogger range complies with EC council Directive 2004/108/EC Electromagnetic Compatibility. AR35E and AR9E models are certified by the International Pesticide Application Equipment (Imperial College, Ascot, UK) to be fully compliant with all requirements of the WHO Equipment for Vector Control Specification Guidelines WHO/CDS/NTD/WHOPES/GCDPP/2006.5.
